Bloor Homes is proposing a new community on land off Whitchurch Road in Chester. Centered around the historic Abbots Well, we are proposing up to 200 high-quality new homes alongside new, publicly accessible green spaces for the local community to enjoy.
WHAT HAS HAPPENED SO FAR?
We held a period of public consultation in June and July 2025 and an outline application was submitted at the end of August 2025. Following submission, the Council undertook its own consultation process which engaged statutory consultees and stakeholders – the majority of which have now provided comments on the planning application.
This consultation resulted in additional technical information coming forward, and we have made minor tweaks to the submitted plans to address the required changes. There is no material change to the developable area or public open spaces, however we have redistributed some of the uses to better align with the site’s opportunities and constraints.
THE PLANS
